Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled be and do not be afraid. John 14:27.
The world we live in is in turmoil. There is confusion, wars, troubles and challenges all over. Thus the world needs peace. The world has sought peace in many divers ways which is yielding no positive outcome. Some have even tried embarking on wars for the quest for peace. Others boast of peace that can only be seen but cannot be felt. Peace can best be defined as a state free of oppressive and unpleasant thoughts and emotions. So peace in what we feel inside of us.
In the midst of all this confusion, absolute peace is found in Christ Jesus alone. He does not give as the world gives. God gives us peace that nullifies the challenges in our lives. Though we may be going through so much troubles and challenges, God’s peace is available to us in the midst of it all. “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your heart and your minds in Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:7.
Have you ever noticed a child fall deep asleep on his or her mom’s back or laps in church while there was clapping, singing and drumming on going? If yes, have you thought about how strange that is? In the midst of all the noise, the child still finds it convenient to sleep peacefully and not disturbed. That is how God defines His peace. God never said, He will give us life void of challenges, and struggles. He promised us absolute peace in the midst of all the troubles and challenges we face. His peace lives our heart and minds. It can be found in no one else but Christ Jesus alone. Seek Jesus and find peace for your soul. He is the prince.
Now may the LORD of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The LORD be with you all” 2Thessalonians 3:16
